How much of our pleasure from the audio hobby stems from the joy of discovery?

If you’re like me you’re a music lover first & foremost.

However many of my audio friends swap IEMs & DAPs nearly as often as they change underwear!

They’re addicted to the thrill of experiencing new things, which is also a reason I became a reviewer.

Recently a brand I was only dimly aware of named TANSIO MIRAI popped up on my radar, when I was offered a set TSMR FEATs in exchange for my thoughts.

I’ve since learned TSMR have actually been around since 2014 – but have grabbed more attention lately with their 8xEST TSMR RGB in particular raising eyebrows.

The FEATs are a 2xDD 2xBA setup, and we’re about to discover what they bring to the table.

Packaging

The $239 TSMR FEATs arrive in a very solid cardboard box, inside is small fabric carry case that’s just big enough to fit the earphones & supplied stock cable.

Two sets of silicone eartips in 3 sizes and an IEM cleaning tool are included, plus a leather cable holder.

The stock cable is a fairly nice 2 wire affair that comes in your choice of 4.4, 3.5 or 2.5mm plug. It doesn’t tangle easily but isn’t as supple as thinner 4 wire stock cables, though it’s fairly unobtrusive in use.

Ergonomics

FEAT’s resin shells are on the slightly larger side without actually being large per se.

Fit is such a personal thing that what works for me may not work for you, but I find them extremely comfortable – just small enough to avoid the feeling of ‘snugness’ that makes an IEM feel like it’s at the edge of my comfort zone, and certainly not straying into the realm of discomfort.

They’re bulky enough to block the canal very effectively, so noise isolation is impressive. Just be aware the nozzles are quite short – that hasn’t affected my fit, but your ear geometry may prove otherwise.
